Sketch Jam Thingy Week 2 -
"Yourself as an RPG/D&D Character"

Hey guys! For this week I wanted to incorporate some elements of myself into this, aside from physical appearance, to make it a bit more accurate. My cat, Mog, is there, as well as a bag of books that represent my video game collection. The gigantic sword is to represent my “massive ego” (which is a in-joke at work). I wanted to try out a new technique for myself, so I used different brushes, layering and method in this different from how I regularly do things.

Dark(Death) Knight ‘cartoon’ style Sketch-
Tried out some new brushes and methods for this one. Had a lot of fun doing it.

Thinking back, this really made me think of some of the old MMOs I used to play with classes like this. Death Knights in WoW, Dark Knights in FFXI and others. Great times!

Wonder Red and Viewtiful Joe
Man, I love both of these franchises a bunch. Wonderful 101 may have been one of my favorite games in the last while and I just recently played through Viewtiful Joe. Great stuff! Felt like doing a team up piece, despite there likely being a ton of em!

Super Mario 3 HD - World 2

To go along with my World 1 piece! I haven’t been working on this straight, but I decided it was time to finish er’ up. I have new projects to move on to, and I’ve been playing a lot of old games.

At some point I plan to continue this series and hopefully do at least the other 6 worlds. I have a lot of very fond memories of Mario 3, probably the first truly amazing game I ever played. Years ago, when I was 5, or 6 and was playing this game I don’t think I ever would have dreamed that I’d be making video games for a living. I like to think that this game really did have a big impact on my young life in terms of getting me interested in the medium that would become my passion.
